We are trained as Human Foundations Practitioners through Functional Patterns. Our training is broken down into phases, utilizing the Functional Patterns Training Methodology. Each phase focuses on a specific aspect of development, creating an integrative approach to fitness and rehabilitation that emphasizes natural, efficient movement patterns. The training consists of phases, each designed to enhance overall functionality and performance.
Our muscles are enveloped by a network of soft tissue known as fascia. Over time, this fascia can become tight and dehydrated, often due to imbalances in posture and movement. This restriction can lead to various negative effects on the body. Myofascial release comprises techniques designed to stimulate and hydrate your fascia, preparing your body for posture correction and improved movement. For optimal outcomes, regular myofascial releases are recommended. Additionally, these releases not only benefit physical well-being but also promote relaxation and alleviate stress, contributing to overall mental health.
Understanding Fascia:
Fascia, the connective tissue enveloping and permeating our bodies, plays a crucial role in supporting muscles, bones, and organs. Through gentle pressure utilizing tools like foam rollers and lacrosse balls, myofascial release encourages relaxation and lengthening of this intricate network, promoting overall tissue health.
If you're dealing with chronic pain, past injuries, or posture-related concerns, self-myofascial release techniques could offer relief. Here are a few conditions often improved by these methods: Back pain, Sciatica, Frozen shoulder, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia.
Chronic tightness may require multiple sessions for noticeable improvement. Be patient with the process as tension gradually diminishes, it may lead to enhanced mobility over time.
Following your session, prioritize hydration to assist in eliminating toxins released during treatment and to replenish tissues. It's common to feel as though you've engaged in a workout, so it's advisable to avoid strenuous activity immediately afterward. Instead, opt for light exercises like walking, which can promote circulation and support the benefits of the session.
